As well as our counselling services, Relate Derby also delivers training, workshops, coaching and supervision.
Workers in pastoral roles are finding that they are increasingly dealing with more complex cases. There is often nobody within their organisation trained to support these workers to deal with these challenging clients.
Our range of workshops can help you to reach your goals, both personal and professional. Get in touch with Workshops – Relate Derby and Southern Derbyshire today to learn more!
Relate delivers professional supervision to workers from voluntary sector and statutory sectors, including work with charities and schools.
A regular supervision session with one of our highly experienced team can help in many ways:
• Gives a space to step back from the rush of day to day work, supporting staff to reflect on their practice
• Creates a space where staff can learn from their own experience
• Allows staff to better understand their own strengths and weaknesses
Supervision is normally offered monthly and can be delivered 1-to-1 or in small groups.
Relate also offers clinical supervision for independent counsellors and supervisors.
We have developed a wide range of courses that can support you and increase your skills. We can also design courses to meet your Team’s specific needs.
We offer training and workshops for schools, colleges, businesses, statutory and voluntary sector organisations. Many of these can be tailored to your organisation’s specific needs. Our most popular course is: Counselling Skills for Non Counsellors – This 6 hour CPD course is designed to help non-counsellors to develop effective listening, communication and support skills.
It offers an opportunity for individuals in a variety of roles to identify, explore and practice basic counselling skills. It also looks at how these skills might fit appropriately with the various roles that you find yourself in. This will involve considering what balance is needed between support, appropriate ‘boundaries’ and self-care.
We also deliver a free Autism Spectrum Condition course for people eligible adults.
We all have personal goals, but how many of us actually achieve them? Many find that the structure of working with a coach enables them to be far more effective and stay on track. Coaching introduces processes which can help you to keep the momentum towards achieving your goals.
Life Coaching is a collaborative process that is focused on working towards solutions and goals. Our Team of qualified coaches work with our clients over a series of sessions to facilitate improvements in work, life and relationships.
Life Coaching, relationship coaching and work based coaching are available face to face, over the phone or via webcam.
You may come to coaching with a particular aim to improve an area of your work, your life or a personal or work relationship. The insights and learning developed through coaching can be incorporated into many different areas of your life.
Coaching sessions cost £40 per session and our ‘Introduction to Coaching’ session is an opportunity to experience a single coaching session before committing to a longer term package.
Free coaching is also available to eligible adults through Living Well with Autism.
